Chicken Bacon Ranch Burgers pack a huge flavor punch for only 6 ingredients! An easy and healthy twist on traditional burgers.
Since we’re heading into summer, I thought now would be the perfect time to update this recipe. Jeff and I just made them for lunch, and oh boy are we stuffed. They’re even better than I remember!
Apparently. I’m really into stuffed burgers. Jalapeno Popper Turkey Burgers are the OG, but this recipe is great if you don’t like spicy food. I mean, you could add jalapenos to these burgers and they would be even MORE delicious. And don’t forget those All-in-One Burgers! There really is something magical about putting your toppings inside of your burger patty.
If you want to take your burger game to the next level, serve these on homemade Light Brioche Buns! Burger heaven.
How to make chicken bacon ranch burgers
It doesn’t get much easier than this recipe. Your prep is done in under 10 minutes, and then you just wait for them to cook up. Simple!
First, make sure you buy ground chicken breast to keep the points and calories low. Check the package carefully because some brands sell ground chicken that can contain dark meat. If you can’t find ground chicken breast at your market and feel weird grinding your own, I’m sure 99% fat free turkey breast would work just fine.
When you’re ready to cook, get your bacon started while you chop your onions. I pulse the yellow onion in my food processor to get it really finely minced. Then I chop my green onion and cooked bacon.
Now you’re ready to assemble! Combine the chicken mixture in a medium bowl and the cream cheese mixture in a smaller one. Form half of the chicken mixture into 4 thin patties, then top each with the cream cheese mixture. Like this:
Next, top to the patties with the rest of the chicken mixture. Form 4 more thin patties and place on top of the cream cheese. Pinch the top and bottom patties together to seal int he filling.
Now it’s time to cook! Depending on how “wet” your ground chicken is, the patties might be too sticky to grill. In that case, just cook them in a saute pan.
Messy and delicious! Make sure you let the burgers rest for at least 5 minutes so the juices set. Otherwise, you might have dry burgers.
THat’s it!
6 ingredients and about 20 minutes for incredible, healthy, HUGE burgers. The cream cheese filling keep everything juicy and flavorful. Definitely make these for people who think they don’t like turkey or chicken burgers. You’ll convert them with this recipe!

Chicken Bacon Ranch Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken breast (if you can’t find this in the store, pulse chopped chicken breast in your food processor until ground)
- 4 large green onions, chopped
- 1 small onion, minced
- 2 tbsp ranch seasoning, divided (one packet of seasoning)
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 ounces light cream cheese
- 4 strips cooked center cut bacon, chopped
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine chicken, 1/2 of the green onions, minced onion, and 1 tbsp ranch seasoning. Form into 8 very thin patties.
- In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, remaining green onions, remaining 1 tbsp ranch seasoning, and bacon. Distribute evenly between 4 of your patties, placing the mixture in the middle. It comes out to about a heaping tablespoon of filling each.
- Place one plain patty on top of one patty with filling. Press the two together to make one big patty, making sure you seal all edges so the filling doesn’t melt out as you cook them. Repeat with remaining 3 patties.
- Cook in a large skillet over medium high heat until chicken is cooked through, about 6-8 minutes a side.
- Enjoy with whatever topping you like. I love eating these as lettuce wraps with avocado and extra ranch dressing.

These burgers are to die for. I even made a couple of substantial swaps (I had ground turkey on hand and no bacon – so I used bacon bits) and they were one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. (I can only imagine how amazing they are with real bacon!) Juicy, flavorful, and so great for meal prep.
