The ingredient lists for most store-bought lite dressings are pretty scary. So, I created this Light Italian Dressing because. In my version, the applesauce provides sweetness without added sugar or artificial sweeteners. The rest of the ingredients create a tangy, savory dressing that is great for any salad. This also works well basted over grilled chicken or fish.
I keep this in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to a week without any problems. It usually doesn’t last that long, though!
Note: the recipe makes 1 cup of dressing.
I’d love to hear from you if you make this recipe! It makes my day when you share your pics on Instagram and tag me (@litecravings). Don’t forget to use #litecravingsrecipes to make sure I see it. If I don’t get a chance to scroll through my tags quickly enough, I won’t see your post. I always make a point to look through the hashtags, though, so I’ll see it there!
