Light Italian Dressing

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsps dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  • If you want a smoother texture, process in a blender. Add a tsp of water at a time if you want a thinner consistency. 
  • Store in the refrigerator, in an air-tight container, for up to a week.
