Only four ingredients add a serious flavor punch to these Easy Mashed Potatoes. It takes just 15 minutes to get this delicious side dish on the table!

Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner, I’ll be sharing some holiday-friendly recipes with you in the coming weeks. For me, Thanksgiving is all about the side dishes. These Easy Mashed Potatoes are always a crowd favorite that I make year-round. The perfect side dish for Creamy Mushroom Parmesan Chicken, Turkey Meatballs in Dijon Gravy, or Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy.
Now, I do have a recipe for Lightened-Up Mashed Potatoes that I still love. That one is more on the classic side and incorporates more ingredients, while these only have four ingredients and are a little more on the cheesy/tangy side. I love them both equally, though I tend to lean towards these on weeknights.
The All-STar Ingredient
If you follow me on Instagram (@litecravings), you probably know that I am obsessed with Alouette Spreadable cheese. It had tons of flavor and is usually the same amount of points as reduced-fat cream cheese. Because the cheese is creamy and rich, it gives the potatoes a buttery taste and texture without adding any actual butter. It’s such a versatile ingredient and is still low in points. That’s really the secret to these decadent mashed potatoes.

I find Alouette Cheese at just about any grocery store around me these days. I find a wide selection of flavors at Pavilions/Vons, Ralphs, Target, Albertson’s, and Safeway. Keep in mind I’m on the West Coast, so I’m not really sure about finding it at stores in other regions. They do have a store locator on their website, though.

Making Easy Mashed Potatoes For a Crowd
If you do plan on making these for a holiday get-together, you may want to double or triple the recipe. This recipe makes 4 cups (eight 1/2 cup servings, or six 2/3 cup servings), which probably won’t be enough for a large crowd, depending on how many different side dishes you serve with them.
You can also make these ahead! Reheat in a sauce pan or, better yet, a slow cooker set to warm or low. Just add in a few more splashes of almond milk (if needed) to make them creamy again.

I’d love to hear from you if you make this recipe! It makes my day when you share your pics on Instagram and tag me (@litecravings). Don’t forget to use #litecravingsrecipes to make sure I see it. If I don’t get a chance to scroll through my tags quickly enough, I won’t see your post. I always make a point to look through the hashtags, though, so I’ll see it there!

Yay! That’s my favorite combo, too.
