Apple Pie Pancake
Servings: 5 pancakes
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/2 cup Gold Medal brand self rising flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon divided
- 1/2 an apple peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring apples, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 cup water to a simmer until water is evaporated.
- Meanwhile, whisk together egg and apple sauce, then fold in flour and remaining 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
- Using 1/4 cup each, cook pancakes over medium-low heat. Top with cooked apples.
- Allow pancakes to rest for a few minutes; otherwise, they'll seem undercooked in the middle.

Hi,
This Is my first time leaving a review. I really enjoy the pancakes, the only thing is they were a little thick for my liking. Do you suggest I thin them out with water or maybe a little almond milk? I will definitely be making them again I’m new to your website but I’m really enjoying your recipe choices.

Almond milk would work. Just add in a tbsp at a time until you get the consistency you like. Good to hear that you’re enjoying my blog!
