Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp each salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar, optional but I think it cuts through the bitterness of the canned tomatoes

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and simmer for about 10 minutes.
