Ingredients

  • about 1 1/2 cups* hamburger pickle chips, drained and patted dry with a paper towel
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg whisked with 1 tbsp water
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp each garlic powder and onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • If using an air fryer, preheat to 400F.
If using an oven, preheat to 450F.
  • Add dried pickles chips to a Ziploc bag with the cornstarch. Shake around until all chips are coated.
  • Place egg wash and panko in separate bowls. To the panko, mix in the paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Dip each chip in the egg wash, then coat in seasoned panko.
If air frying, coat the basket with cooking spray and place pickles in the basket in a single layer.
If baking, place breaded pickles on a cookie sheet that has been greased with cooking spray.
  • Spray the tops of the breaded pickles with cooking spray.
Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the pickle chips and continue to air fryer for 5 minutes.
    OR
Bake on the top rack of your oven (closest to heat) for 10 minutes. Flip chips, spray tops again, and bake for another 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste (keep in mind that your pickles might already be pretty salty).

WW SmartPoints on all plans: 3 for 1/4 of the recipe (about 2/3 cup)
* Just use as many chips as you can to use up all of the coating. Mine came out to about 45-50 chips, but it really depends on the size/brand of your chips. If you add more, it won't increase the points.
